Indicator 1

This Scam begins on Social Media via Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Dating Websites and Apps.

Indicator 2

Scammers use a False Identity to form a "Relationship" in which the Victim believes the relationship is real and genuine. Sometimes Impersonating Celebrities.

Indicator 3

They will ask for Money, Goods, and Bank Account access in order to steal money and to launder.

Indicator 4

It can also appear as an emergency to pay for a Visit to the Victim or help with Finances.

Indicator 5

They ask for Gift Cards, Wire Transfers, and Money App Transfers such as Cash App or Zelle.

Indicator 6

These Scams can last for a long time; the victim believes in the potential for "Love".

Indicator 7

Scammers use Emotional Coercion to deplete a Victim of Money and Isolate them from Family and Friends.
